I currently do machine learning at Toyota Research Institute in Palo Alto, CA, before which I was a Senior Roboticist at Google / X.

Before that, I was an equity derivatives trader at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo, Japan for 7 years, trading volatility both “old-school” as well as algorithmically.

I got my Ph.D. in robotics from Carnegie Mellon’s Robotics Institute and my undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Cambridge.
